After getting engaged in July 2025, my fiancé and I set out to purchase our first ever home. We had our sights set on Westchester, but with low inventory in one of the world’s hottest housing markets, we were unsure where to begin. Cue Fiona and Caroline. Fiona and Caroline helped us from beginning to end. They worked around our schedules, and met us on weekends for open houses and private showings. They connected us with their network of mortgage brokers, real estate attorneys, inspectors, painters, and contractors. They also helped us navigate a rather complex transaction. Fiona prioritized our concerns, always making the time—no matter how late or early—to discuss our options and strategize. She is a strong, experienced, and skillful advocate, and advised us of which concerns were worth raising and which were more likely to sour the buyer-seller relationship, often reminding us that: “sellers are from Venus, and buyers are from Mars.” Fiona and Caroline remained optimistic and calm throughout the entire process—two qualities that made the world of difference when my fiancé and I felt discouraged and uncertain. By following their advice and guidance, we successfully landed our dream starter home (beating out ten other offers!) after only one month of house hunting. We’ve learned that buying a home is no easy feat. As with most transactions, there are uncertainties and inevitabilities that arise. The one thing you can be certain of: having a fantastic real estate duo who will be at your side when those challenges arise.

Excellent suite of services provided by Fiona Dogan of the Rye city office in NY. The staging process, while daunting and loads of work for sellers, was carried out efficiently and surely did the trick in getting in our multiple bidders for our home. We also greatly appreciated it was included in the overall package pricing. Caroline Howard subbed in for Fiona with our pre-closing and closing activities and did a fantastic job communicating with us as well. Fiona is a wonderful person, very good at her job, and super easy to work with - I've already recommended her to several people in Rye for near-term selling :-) Thank you for all. The only ask I've have is that the overall realty and Sotheby's in particular, should consider offering up to all/most sellers an option to have furnishings sold (to the public) in an equally expeditious fashion. We would have loved that help as it took tons of time to sell our high-end pieces and some did not sell as we ran out of said time before closing. Please consider offering this. Thanks.
