Dennis owns a residence and an investment property in Milford, CT, where he lives with his wife, Jan. Their children, Skylar, and Jaxon, both in their twenties, pursued Theatre Majors in college, and are in the process of launching their lives and careers.
Dennis practices Transcendental Meditation and enjoys reading Stoic philosophy. He believes in lifelong learning and continuous improvement. In 2020 he completed his first marathon, the Eversource Hartford Marathon (run virtually due to the pandemic) and subsequently completed the Savin Rock and UConn Health Half Marathons in 2021 and 2023 respectively.
