Julie was born in Manhattan, raised on Long Island, and represents the third generation of her family to experience the benefits of owning a second home. With this experience and passion for life well lived in Litchfield County, Julie thrives in her role as Regional Manager for William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty's Litchfield Hills brokerage.
Inspired by Insights From Her Own Search
Julie credits her success to insights gained during her own second home search. Like many second homebuyers, Julie and her husband embarked on their search while working full time in Manhattan. Twelve months and several real estate agents later they found the second home of their dreams on 22 acres in Washington, CT. The search was frustrating as they knew what they wanted but were unable to find one agent with the initiative, intuition, and stamina to support their search. This got Julie thinking about the unmet needs of second home buyers and how the skills developed in her career as Managing Director of Accounts at Ogilvy & Mather could be of value to them. Her interest in working local was accelerated by the birth of her sons, her husband’s retirement from UBS/Paine Weber and their collective decision to make their second home their forever home. Since 2002, Julie, Bill, Wilson, and Wyatt have lived in Washington full-time. When Julie retired from Ogilvy in 2014 she embarked on her mission to deliver an elevated level of service in the Litchfield Hills.
