A former Kent Chamber of Commerce President and Kent's Assessment Appeals Chairman, an elected position she held for 15 years, currently Karen is a member of Kent's Planning and Zoning Commission and recently elected as the Vice Chairman. Karen was appointed in January 2024 as a Town of Kent Deputy Registrar. Karen served as Chairman of The Republican Town Commitee Chairman for 3 years in the past.

Karen supports area Land Trusts and Libraries and is Mom to a rescue dog named "Honey".

A mother of three grown children and grandmother to eight young children, she understands the joy of quality family time and the importance of a home. When she is not on the phone you can find Karen hiking, skiing, or kayaking in some of the quiet scenic spots in the area.
