At the outset, it is important to understand that this was an unusual sale. The property at 108 Sill Lane was a granite, four-story factory erected on or about 1820. It went through a series of meaningful changes over the years until remade into a residence in the mid 1950's. The property was on the market for more than two years. The agents, Allyson Cotton, and Liz Squillacote, arranged, scheduled, and oversaw a variety of personal showings and several open houses together and individually. They were imaginative and creative in their approach and worked tirelessly through the entire project. The property was almost sold on a variety of occasions but one reason or another didn’t sell. Allyson and Liz were enthusiastic and positive and never lost their sense of humor throughout the ordeal. It is fair to say that there were several unusual circumstances. They were addressed promptly and enthusiastically. I would recommend Allyson and Liz unreservedly. If you wish to discuss the matter further, I would be happy to talk to you on a personal basis.

Liz was amazing to work with. This was my first time buying a home, which also happened to be in the middle of a pandemic, with an influx of people relocating to CT from out of state, minimal inventory, houses flying off the market in… the matter of days (and sometimes within a day!), add on the fact that my dream was to live near the beach (a competitive area of real estate on its own) and you might as well have said I should try again in a year or two (I certainly started to feel that way). However, even up against all that Liz always remained positive and supportive in helping me find my dream home. She encouraged me to keep looking, but was never pushy in trying to get me into something I didn’t love. In fact, if she sensed I didn’t love it she would encourage me to keep looking. I don’t even know the number of houses we saw in a 6 month period, but if I had to guess I’d say upward of 45-50 and I think we were up to 11 or 12 offers, but she was always willing to take me to see more and I have to say it was worth the work (hopefully she feels that way too 😊) because seeing as many homes as we did really helped me to get a sense of what I truly wanted and what concessions I was willing to make. Her putting in all the time and effort she did is what got me into my dream home in a location better than I ever could have imagined. A home in which the concessions were so minimal I couldn’t even tell you what they are. Liz is patient, understanding, and truly cares about making your homeowners dreams come true. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking.
