Michael Caporizzo hails from Lower Fairfield County, where he partnered with an architectural design firm that serviced clients such as Macy's and Philadelphia Children’s Hospital. It was at this juncture in his sales career that Michael realized his passion for the business of architecture and design. Michael and his family sought a lifestyle change, and in their search for a more peaceful country setting, they discovered Washington. As Michael planned for their move to Litchfield county, he turned to his family's business of construction and design for inspiration and pursued a new career in the field of real estate. It was with Sotheby's International branding that he knew he could fuse his keen salesmanship and love of architectural expression.
Having sought a passion rather than a field, Michael has proven himself to be a top producer in his Washington Depot office. He accredits his success to working with the best marketing team real estate has to offer, as well as his expansive contact list from his sales career that traversed the states.
Honesty, reliability, and business acumen define Michael as an agent. He treats his clients' properties as investments and, as such, tactfully approaches the negotiation process, placing his clients interests above all else.
Working alongside his wife, Erin, Michael aides his buyers and sellers in their quest to sell and procure real estate. With a keen sense of space they provide their clients with sound advice on how to best utilitze and present their current and future properties.
Outside of the professional realm Michael is a proud father to his son, Jude and daughter Lucy. Michael is passionate about health and wellness; having spent many reading hours delving deeply into the research of toxcity free living.

Michael understanded our needs and found a property than met our needs. Michael was a plleasure to work with.
Mike and Erin were instrumental in my 1st home buying experience. They were patient and knowledgeable when offering recommendations and advise. They took their time in explaining the process and helped me make the best decisions. I would highly recommend Mike and Erin if you are in the market for a new home.
Mike and Erin are a wonderful couple who have been fantastic to work with. We have been working together for a few years now as my family has been looking for our next home and they have even helped with a recent land/lot purchase. Mike and Erin compliment each other very well and are always available to ensure that every aspect of our needs are covered. From last minute showings, to providing invaluable insight and guidance along the way. They go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met and that you have someone in your corner that properly represents you! Highly recommend working with this fantastic team!
Michael and Erin gave us sound advice and made the sale of my mother’s house seamless and convenient. There is no doubt that we will be using the Caporizzo’s in the next couple years as we downsize to a new home!!!
My brother and I are so thankful to have had Mike as our listing agent for our lakefront property. Mike was very prompt in his responses to our questions and was very kind throughout the whole process. We could not be happier with the entire experience! He was professional and we always knew Mike had us covered. We cannot imagine a better experience and can't wait to refer other peoople going forward.
Michael, thank you so much for your great work. We're so happy to have the result we want.
Realtor I worked with was wonderful and extremely helpful and accommodating addressing all my questions and research. Mike was awesome!
Michael Caporizzo is the most professional and personable agent. He listened carefully to our specific needs; resulting in perfect tenants for our on-site apartment. He was wonderful to work with, always available, making the rental process simple and enjoyable.
Simply put, my husband and I would not have successfully purchased our home in Litchfield County if not for working with Michael Caporizzo from William Pitt/Julia B. Fee Sotheby's International Realty. He was flexible when setting up viewings, informed during showings, and resourceful in the follow up, gathering the information we needed to make a decision. His guidance nudged us in the right direction while being sensitive to our comfort zone and resources. As much as we enjoyed working with him during the search, as first time home buyers, we didn’t realize how truly essential the right partnership is for everything that comes after finding the property you want. It’s in this chapter that Michael really shined. Michael’s sharp advice got us to an accepted offer in this highly competitive market. More than that, we’d never have sealed the deal without his efficient coordination of everything from inspections through a time-sensitive closing. Then when the inevitable late-breaking wrinkles surfaced, his partnership and dedication took us across the finish line. Beyond his understanding of the market and making a successful purchase in this unique environment, Michael’s recommendations of area service providers and knowledge about home projects helped us make much better decisions. So we’re grateful to him not only for the successful purchase of a dream property but for helping us to do so with the comfort that we were making the perfect choice for us.

Michael was a pleasure to work with. Would definitely reach out to him with future real estate needs.
We were so incredibly lucky to find and work with Michael Caporizzo on our recent sale. We were out of town and Michael did all the heavy lifting to help get the house ready and all the random things that came up before, during and after the showings. A bonus was that he connected us with a great handyman and attorney. We highly recommend working with Michael Caporizzo.
Michael has been outstanding for the second time for my family. We just sold land in North Stonington. His next job is to find me a house on the shore. We have been working on already.
You won't find better. Period. And I know: I've probably purchased over a dozen houses in the last decade and I've stumbled on cheats, philanderers, and idiots in this business. Which has taught me to appreciate a great agent when you find one. And Michael is just that. I met him when he showed me, actually, HIS own home for sale. The house wasn't right, but he was. Funny, self-deprecating, and honest. And his home was SPOTLESS! It was obvious he loved his job, his family, and the ukulele. I hired him instantly. He always offered his honest appraisal of a building, stayed true to what I wanted, took care of the paperwork flawlessly and kept me sane when it looked like we wouldn't close in time to move in for Christmas, my big wish. BUT! Micheal even swung that - in an ice storm, no power, no phones - he managed it all. In short: Micheal is FLAWLESS, helpful, organized and is a pleasure to work with. I'm grateful to move to his neck of the woods and appreciate all his professional service.
Working with Michael has been very enjoyable. He is dedicated, honest and always available.
Michael was a pleasure to work with and continually went above and beyond to help us find our home through many virtual showings. We found Michael to be honest and genuinely interested in our needs. We trusted Michael’s input enough to buy our house without ever seeing it in person and are now extremely happy with our purchase. We would highly recommend Michael Caporizzo to anyone looking for a real estate professional in the Litchfield County area.
Working with Michael Caporizzo was very rewarding, very responsive and always helpful seeing everything through, sharing good advise and prespective.
So is it possible to sell a 250 year old farmhouse in CT in the middle of winter that needs a bunch of contractors to fix it up and during COVID when you live 1500 miles away? Haha you say? That's what I said too until I met Michael. The property was a small multifamily which narrows down the market significantly but Michael assured me from the start that it could be done and that we would be able to entertain multiple offers. So we walked through the property together, itemizing each and every thing that we wanted to fix, found a contractor that was amazing, prompt, fairly priced and could fix everything or referred me to someone that could. From a distance Michael worked to address all issues that would ensure a rapid sale; had a photographer come multiple times to ensure the pictures for the listing were perfect. He had extra keys made, hung a flags on the property, picked up gifts for the tenants for me and was available to do everything I would do as a seller to prepare for the sale but couldn't be there. Within a few days after listing the property we had 5 offers, mostly over asking and within a few months we closed on the property over asking price. Buying or selling property is an emotional often difficult process but he made it happen, made it easy and because of this experience I would highly recommend using him for any real estate transactions. Thank you Michael. You are THE BEST!!
Michael did an amazing job at promoting our home He was always professional and took his time to make sure our home was seen for the beauty and quality it is made of. Only one showing and sold!! As a seller, it was the perfect fit. Michael is an asset to your company. Fondly, Janet Antilla
Michael Caporizzo is the best realtor in CT! After trying to sell our home for several years, he accomplished it in only a few months. We were surprised by his professional and creative approach to marketing the property - it really made all the difference. Our only regret has been that we couldn’t use his services while looking for a new house in another state! Thank you Michael!!
We have both sold and bought with the great advice and guidance from Michael Caporizzo. There is no one else we would rather work with on real estate in CT. Michael is practical, realistic and provided insights that helped move both our transactions forward smoothly along with the required empathy at the right times too.
Michael could not have been nicer or more professional if he were trying! From the moment we met he made us feel as though he really understood our needs and was able and willing to satisfy them. His dedication to his trade was evident in all of his dealings and conversations with us. Truly a professional in the true sense of the word.
We recently had to sell our house due to a job change. After several frustrating months with another realty group, we began working with Michael Caporizzo and his agency. From day one, Michael has been nothing but the best--- strong work ethic; tremendous knowledge; smart, innovative marketing; the skill set needed to get the job done. He immediately was able to meet our expectations and our time frame. Michael is fantastic at his ability to meet challenges head on. He successfully was able to aggressively market our property and find potential buyers. Amazingly, he had our home under contract in less than two months of listing. Although we subsequently faced a unique set of unexpected challenges while going forward with the contract, Michael never showed impatience or frustration with us and was always the upmost professional. He remained committed to us and always had our best interest at heart throughout the whole selling process, leading to the eventual close of our property. Michael is not only very diligent and tech savvy, but he is also an excellent communicator. He will always keep you in the loop of things and will respond to your texts, phone calls, and/or e-mails promptly, respectfully, and patiently. We recommend Michael Caporizzo for any and all of your real estate needs. A realtor more genuine, caring, or conscientious you will not meet. He most definitely can guide you through whatever stressful and anxiety provoking situation you find yourself in, with kindness, understanding, and above all else, a sense of humor! We were lucky to have found not only an exceptional real estate professional, but also someone we can now call our friend.
Selling one's home in todays market requires an edge, and Michael is it. I was certain I made the right choice when my home appeared online with professionally staged photographs and a description that articulated my homes most sellable points. Beyond the marketing, Michael was professional in his handling of all of my showings. Representing me to each potential buyer and keeping me abreast on all feedback. Overall, Michael receives my highest recommendation.
Michael was great to work with. Good follow through, straight-forward and honest, and pleasant to work with. I would recommend him highly to anyone who needs a professional broker, on the sell or buy side. His range of listings through Sotheby's is also unparalleled. My client portal was regularly updated with new listings and price changes.
We have worked with many RE professionals over the years, and Michael sets a new standard. He listens, updates you regularly and coordinated a well thought out marketing plan to sell our unique property. We highly recommend Michael to help you with your RE needs.
