She actively participated in the volunteer programs run by the Redding school system, filled in as a substitute teacher for the Redding schools, was an active member of the Redding Ridge Fire Department, where she served as an EMT, and she belonged to the Georgetown, CT chapter of the Temple B'nai Chaim Sisterhood. Sherri and her husband are residing in Brookfield, CT, at the Candlewood Lake Club.
