My Godmother. She's the kindest person I've ever known.

Over the past 10 years, I've practiced real estate in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. I transitioned to a career in real estate after many years in the dental field. After graduating from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Biology, I spent the next thirty five years as both a surgical tech in periodontics and in surgical sales with ITI Straumann, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland.  Additionally, I've managed several specialty practices, including my family's prosthodontic practice in San Francisco. My role in practice management, case coordination and patient care translated gracefully into my "second act" in real estate. I'm highly organized and thrive in an environment involving the coordination of multiple players, a skill key to any real estate transaction. I'm experienced in the representation of both buyers and sellers but admit that I have a soft spot for first time home buyers, of whom I'm fiercely protective.

Over the years, having a passion for home design, I've focused on beautifying both my residential and work spaces in areas I've lived including Scottsdale, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Significant accomplishments include the addition of a complete second story to my San Francisco home, a comprehensive build out of my family's dental paractice, restoration of my 1850 historic home in Upstate New York and oversight of several interior design projects at Hamilton College.

I was born and raised in Upstate New York, where much of my life was shaped by the Adirondacks. My love of nature, animals and the great outdoors remains strong and I enjoy cycling, skiing, hiking and playing hockey, which I do regularly here in Litchfield County. I often say that one of the greatest joys of selling real estate is that it often results in my clients becoming lifelong friends. When I'm not out showing homes to clients, I'm often cycling or hiking local trails with them - always happy to ride or walk as far as they'd like.

I'm currently licensed in Connecticut and New York and am a member of the National Association of Realtors, Greater Hartford Association of Realtors and Mohawk Valley Association of Realtors. I'm also a member of the Washington Business Association and enthusiastically volunteer with our local land conservancy,...

Testimonials

My Agent Carla Mascaro was Absolutely Incredible! In Negotiations she was Astonishing. During inspections she was unbelievably accommodating with her time. She made all of this happen. I wouldn’t have this incredible home without her generosity and grace. I’m sure I would have given up, since I was always on the other side of the country. An incredible heart. I have recommended her to everyone already.

Garrett H.

Our experience with Carla Mascaro was excellent, I couldn’t ask for a more professional, hard working, thorough agent who never gave up on us even after showing us countless homes! Carla is absolutely (Super the Best!!)

Kenneth & Barbara Norris

Carla was great throughout the process. After the initial contact she spent significant time discussing the pros and cons of renting the guest home on my property to help me decide if this was something I really wanted to do. I felt no pressure to list quickly during this process. Once the decision was made she thoroughly reviewed the property and the current rental market in the area. Carla has great eye for design and offered many suggestions on staging and presentation. Unlike other realtors I have worked with who made suggestions but never showed up to help make it happen, Carla was here often and put in hours of work uncluttering and making the place welcoming. So nice in fact that I considered moving into the guest house and renting the main farm house. She suggested a rental price that may have been a slight reach, near the top of comparable properties. She was great at comparing properties and making the case for a full price rental. She always communicated about showings and clients comments which allowed us to make a few more small improvements along the way. The result was finding tenants at our asking price in a reasonable amount of time. Would highly recommend Carla Mascaro and William Pitt for your real estate needs here in Washington Depot.

I can’t even begin to express our gratitude to Carla. We recently had a house fire and needed to find a temporary residence for the next year while they rebuild our home. Carla Mascaro didn’t just find us a place to live - she found us a a tranquil haven to regroup after such a tragic loss. She was there every step of the way - searching the area for the right place and then working with our insurance company to make everything go smoothly. Her care for our well being was genuine and far surpassed what one would expect from a realtor. Thank you Carla for all you have done for our family, it is greatly appreciated.

Jackie and Roger Sicard

Carla is absolutely amazing to work with and we couldn’t recommend her more!! Her attentiveness and attention to detail is unsurpassed. Any question we had was answered quickly and her efficiency is unlike any other agent we have worked with in the past. We couldn’t recommend her more and are thankful to have worked with her and will most certainly be working with her again!

Working in real estate in New England is quite challenging. The majority of people searching for new exciting accommodations are overwhelmed and extremely busy. I can admit to being one of them. Carla’s superb management of the situation in which I found myself was quite exceptional. I am far from easy, a bit off the beaten path and very very limited with time. Carla was extremely accommodating and charming. Her communication left nothing misunderstood or unclear. She is persistent in a way that is encouraging and supportive. Carla’s temperament will bode well for her in this difficult profession in Litchfield County, Connecticut. I strongly support her and encourage anyone interested in real estate to add her to your list of “people to know”. Thank you Carla. Ellen

Carla has been brilliant both in helping us to sell our home, and in helping my mother buy a home nearby. She is very helpful, responsive, and gives good advice. Whether buying or selling, I always have the sense that she has our best interests in mind.

My wife and I met with several real estate agents before meeting Carla at an open house and none of them came even close to her level of professionalism. She was the only realtor to put an effort into getting house viewings setup and was able to make any date/time work that we needed to see several houses. Once we got into the process she was extremely helpful along the way with what to look for and what to avoid and where red flags were that we may have missed. She's extremely prompt and detail oriented and willing to do whatever it takes to keep the ball rolling in the process of home buying, we wanted to submit an offer two days before an open house and after we viewed the house at 7PM she went straight to her office and got it written up and sent to us that night for signatures. Because of her extra effort we were able to get the perfect house for what we were looking for. If we ever go through this process again whether buying or selling she will be the only realtor we call.

Professional, personable, and efficient. Went well beyond expectations. Responsive and ready to do whatever it takes. Recommend unconditionally and in the strongest of terms.

We worked with Carla in buying a home in the Village of Clinton -- she was terrific! Carla knows the market well; was very responsive and an excellent communicator; and on several occasions went out of her way to meet with us and/or to show us the property we eventually purchased. Carla knows the nuances of the buying and closing processes and was able to refer us to other resources needed for the closing. Perhaps most important, she was up-front and direct throughout and we very much valued her advice and assistance. We recommend her highly and would absolutely use her again for a sale or purchase.

Carla was extremely helpful in walking me through the sale of my home. The whole process went very smoothly from start to finish from helping me stage and photograph properly, right through to closing day she always kept me well informed of what was going on and promptly contacted me about any activity from potential buyers. A++ would highly recommend this agent.

Highly recommend. I moved from Chicago to Utica, NY, so I was rather nieve about houses and the details of buying in a relatively small town. Carla picked up on this quickly and seemed to know beforehand? as to what houses would be a good fit for me and my wife. Believe me, this is a godsend. And she rather impressively seemed not to care about 'making a quick deal'. Fresh, huh? If you are getting this feel from your realtor, dump 'em and go with Carla. Moreover, didn't know anybody regarding inspectors, lawyers...Her recommendations on this were also great and personable. Overall, Carla made my home buying experience as pleasant as possible given this process is never stress-free. And it didn't stop after the closing. Previous resident messed up the thermostat wiring upon vacating...Bad thing in NY winter's. Called Carla, and problem solved via the seller the next day. She deserves more than 5 stars. Enough said.

Had the closing on my house a couple weeks ago. What a relief to have it all over! Carla Mascaro made it all bearable. She did an amazing job! I so appreciated her professionalism and energy. I could not have asked for more from an agent. Not only did she put in time with open houses and showings but she made the extra effort to help me out when I moved from the area before the house sold. Selling a house is never an easy process but Carla really worked to smooth out the twists and turns as much as humanly possible. I cannot thank her enough for all she did.

pmskelly54

Carla was fantastic! During our hunt for a house, we were never rushed and we were pretty picky! We had her write 4 offers for us before we finally got one to stick. But she stuck with us with no pressure, no complaints, and was always very responsive. We met Carla at a house she was showing, so have seen her operate as a seller’s agent too and would highly recommend her services to buyers and sellers.

tricco22

Great experience from start to finish. Carla's response time and follow through was remarkable. Great advice on marketing and promoting my property both locally and nationally. Incredible attention to detail. Can't say enough. Very happy and would recommend Carla without hesitation.

Colleen H

Carla is amazing!! She is professional, attentive to detail, helpful and extremely responsive. She cares about making sure you are completely satisfied with your decision to buy or sell. I purchased an investment property which Carla recommended and I couldn't be happier. The process with timely, efficient and rewarding. The goal for Carla is to make you feel you did the right thing. She cares about you and your goals. I would highly recommend Carla to anyone interested in selling, buying or information about the area. Thank you Carla!

Mike P.

My house sold even before hitting the MLS, so fast! Carla rolled up her sleeves and helped me clean and stage my house to show, and the house sold after the first and only showing. She stood up for me and got the price I wanted; she is a great negotiator! I was so lucky to have Carla representing my interests in this crazy market, she thinks of everything! I would use her again and again, I trust her judgment. Even though I have moved out of state, I still consult with Carla on my real estate questions, she's my go-to girl!
