"It was clear from the start that Cathy was not a typical realtor. Cathy sets up the sale to be successful up front and then drives it home. My wife and I were in a situation where we had a difficult property to sell due to buying at peak market in 2007 but wanted to relocate a few towns over. We had a price we needed to hit in order for our move to make financial sense. We knew it was high, but it was not completely unreasonable. We went to a few open houses and had a few realtors come by for a comparative market analysis on our sale. They all said that the price we needed wasn't possible in this market. We still kept attending open houses to see what's out there and that's when we met Cathy. She immediately stood out from all the other realtors we had met... she was attentive, knowledgeable about the home she was showing, and showed great interest in helping us. We were 'just browsing' so we did not really engage fully. A week later, we ran into her again at a different house and she immediately remembered us and pushed to come out for the CMA. We had her come out and she said yes - we can get the price we need and she is going to get it for us. It sounded a little too good to be true at first due to the others saying it wasn't possible but we decided to give it a go after we asked her how... She brought in her team which included professional photographers and brought in an interior designer to help us stage with truck loads of items to help dress our place up. She helped us for hours setting up our place. We started to want to stay because it was so 'cute' and 'cozy'. Most importantly, she found the comps for the appraiser to justify the asking price. Our open house was so successful to the point where there were lines and trouble parking. A few more private showings after that and we had an offer in 3 weeks after list. When others said it couldn't be done, she made it happen in no time at all. We had visibility into our web traffic with her marketing reports and were kept in the loop on mailings and other non-digital media. On top of all that, she helped us find our new home. That wasn't easy either. We were a bit picky and weren't going to settle. She met us at places multiple times a week, did 5-house tours on the weekends, and sent us listings as they came on the market - and a phone call usually followed to make sure we saw it to act fast. Cathy was in constant contact. We were never left wondering about anything- we knew the second anything happened. She also came to our closing, which is not something all realtors do. It was a nice addition and she was with us to the very end. We plan to be here for a while... but if the day should come that we need to move on or acquire a new place, Cathy is getting that phone call."
