Christine Straden

Christine Straden is an award winning real estate specialist with a uniquely customized approach to customer service. Christine’s fine aesthetic appreciation and marketing expertise were honed in a successful career with Christie’s Auction House in New York and she has brought that background and a genuine enthusiasm to real estate. "I love learning about what really matters to the client's lifestyle, and then working through the myriad of details required to make that vision a reality. Your home is such an essential foundation for everyday happiness, it's incredibly important to get it right," says Straden.  Her well established network and intimate knowledge of the Darien and Rowayton markets also allows her to broker sales privately, either an off-the-market home that matches her buyer’s criteria perfectly or for a seller who values absolute privacy and discretion.

Prior to joining William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty, Straden was a specialist at Christie's Inc. New York. Her responsibilities comprised all aspects of planning, appraising, cataloging, marketing and executing Christie's important annual auctions in her field. Christine was involved with several successful, high-profile, single owner sales which achieved world records for their categories. While with Christie's, she also had the opportunity to spend time in some of the most spectacular homes in the world. Previously, Christine was a director of Global Marketing and Licensing at a European luxury goods company based in Cologne, Germany.

Christine was born and educated in Germany, graduating with honors in Business from the University of Mannheim. She met her husband in Darien and has lived with her family and two children in Rowayton and Darien for the past 20 years. She is an active volunteer in community and school events and serves on the programming committee of the Rowayton Library. In her free time, she enjoys sailing, bicycling and gardening.
