Tina began her career as a professional photographer in New York City - working with celebrity chefs including Giada DeLaurentiis, Rachael Ray and Mario Batali, and for commercial clients such as Martha Stewart Living, Family Circle, This Old House and Bed, Bath & Beyond. She then pivoted and decided to pursue a career in real estate. With her eye for detail and creative vision, it seemed like a very natural next step.

"In both careers, communication is key…Interpreting an art director’s vision for a campaign or photoshoot is very much like interpreting a buyer’s vision when finding the perfect home.  For sellers, staging, preparing and photographing a home to look its best is crucial in today’s market. Both careers also have many variables to make it all come together - a magazine story or closing a real estate deal.”

Tina brings experience and professionalism - working and thriving in high pressure environments and seeing projects through to the end with ease and enthusiasm.

“‘What I love most about my work is introducing newcomers to Connecticut,’ says Tina. ‘I discovered first hand what a wonderful place it is 17 years ago. I love that without traveling far, you can really find it all: beaches, rivers, boating, bucolic farms, great restaurants, art museums, state parks with hiking trails and of course it’s all in proximity to New York and Boston — just a train ride away.’”

As a way to further connect and provide value to her clients, Tina founded three unique Facebook groups: "Saybrook and Shoreline Events" which shares and highlights local events to keep the community informed, "Saybrook and Shoreline Business" which promotes local businesses and “The Shoreline Home” where she shares real estate tips and ideas for home improvements and gardening. It’s also a fabulous place to showcase her unique property offerings!

Tina earned a Bachelor’s Degree in both Visual Arts and German from Rutgers University in New Jersey - which promoted an invaluable opportunity to live and study in both Constance and Berlin, Germany. Spending this time living internationally is part of why she loves being a part of such a stellar global community of agents throughout the Sotheby’s International Realty network.

Testimonials

My agent was Tina Rupp, and she was great! She helped with expediting the whole process by coordinating all parties involved (mortgage lender, attorney, and seller's agent). The closing was a mere 3 weeks after the initial offer! She was professional and treated me like a person, not just a means to a commission.

Nick Fomenko

Tina is a dream real estate agent. Fun, funny, just the amount of “laid back” to calm the jittery nerves of a homebuyer but not so laid back that she is not on top of things 110% of the time. Loved working with her!❤️

Carol & Bruce McCurdy

Tina did a great job in finding a buyer for our unusual piece of property. I highly recommend her. She did a great job.

Susan Korman-Cooper

Tina Rupp is smart, experienced and a joy to work with.

Andrea Sorg

Tina Rupp was fantastic. She kept us grounded throughout the process and provided great tips and advice. We followed her direction and sold our house within 3 days and over asking price. She attended every showing and got to know prospective buyers. We could not more pleased.

Tina along with Cindy have been great to work with - both in selling my home and purchasing my new one. They’ve been very professional and I felt that they had my best interest at heart and did go to bat for me. I’m extremely satisfied and grateful for them both and would not hesitate to recommend either or both of them. They represent William Pitt/Sotheby’s perfectly and are definitely an asset to your company. Thank you. John Antonelle

Tina was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive as my listing agent. She was available to answer questions and give in-person consultations and went above and beyond in helping me sell my father's house. Her professionalism, expertise, and excellent interpersonal skills work to make her a wonderful representative for anyone attempting to sell a home.

Dika Kuljis

Hello once again…I’m not sure what Tina best excels at as she has both saved me lots of time, angst, and money as well as made me lots of money in short time with negligible angst….just trust her advice and talent and her well-executed process will take care of the rest,,,simply stated, Tina will not meet but rather exceed your expectations…promise!

Tina Rupp sold our house, it was an amazingly and exciting sale. Tina made it to be an easy experience even through my husband sickness situation. Tina has a lovely personality, she is very knowledgeable of the selling market and how to benefit her clients in every step of the sale. Was great having her as our Real Estate salesperson. We highly recommend her because of her great personality and expertise. Milagros and Richard Hoyt.

Tina is an excellent realtor. She is very personable and has the best interest in helping her clients and their needs. Tina has a wonderful talent when it comes to staging your house. Tina had an offer on our house the day before our Open House .

Robert & Brenda Webber

Tina Rupp was our realtor. I was absolutely astounded by how informative, helpful, aware, and on the ball she was throughout the entire realty experience. I had heard horror stories of home purchases with other realtors and kept pinching myself thinking, “is it really this easy?” Tina stayed cool and calm regardless of what was happening and my husband and I consistently felt cared for and heard while having her as our realtor. She promptly answered texts and emails and phone calls. If we ever decide to move again, I would go straight to working with Tina without batting an eye, and would 100% recommend her to anyone I know who is searching for a home. She found the perfect home for us even though I thought it may be out of our price range, set us up with a lender who was frankly a dream to work with, and kept lines of communication clear and concise throughout the very short window of our closing timeframe! A++! I cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Tina.

Christiana & James Barabe

Tina guided me through the home buying process during a significant change in the market place. Not only was I able to purchase at asking price, but she has continued to follow up to make sure that settling in to my new location has been a happy and smooth experience.

Cheryl Barnum, Buyer

Tina was great to work with. Very professional and pleasant to work with. She made the entire process easy.

We loved working with Tina! She helped us find the perfect home and made the process easy and fun!

Tina was a perfect real estate agent. She was patient during the search, helpful during the transaction, good at communicating throughout and so good about following up since we moved in during a hurricane! We would unreservedly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell a home! Sandra and Chris

Given the multitude of print, television and social media as well as the number of For Sale, Sale Pending, and Sold signs dotting streets in every town, finding a realtor is seldom a problem. Finding the “Right” realtor, however, can be a daunting process which too often finds the listing going to the realtor who puts the biggest price tag on your house. After all, what owners don’t want to reap the greatest profit from the sale of their home? With the exception of halcyon days, far too often, this realtor disappointedly suggests multiple price reductions due to “unfavorable market conditions” leaving their sellers confused, frustrated and disappointed. There are some realtors who choose to price more on the lower end of the scale with hope to move the property quickly. To be fair, this is sometimes done at the request of the sellers due to personal circumstances. As a buyer’s agent, the same fiduciary responsibilities remain in place as the agent provides houses that fit both the buyers’ budget and taste. In the end, the realtor is there to educate and guide their clients through the buying and selling process. I offer my thoughts from a unique perspective as my beautiful late wife, Pam, was one of Pequot Properties top agents before the company was purchased by Prudential at which she continued in the top 1% of agents in Connecticut and in the top 3% nationally. In order to help her, I also obtained my real estate license and balanced my time between a teaching and coaching career and real estate. I saw from the inside what separates agents from one another Enter Tina Rupp. From our very first meeting I could tell that there was something special about Tina. Other wonderful agents had taken turns at listing my quite unique properties in both Noank and Deep River. Every agent was incredibly diligent and professional in their respective efforts. Certainly the housing market played a significant factor in the process. Tina saw my Deep River home not as a challenge but rather as an opportunity to put into play her incredible photographic genius and her social media and networking skills. Tina was extremely honest and candid about the value of my home and had done extensive homework in preparation of our first meeting. She presented me with three price ranges; quick sell, should sell, and sit and wait sell. I chose Mama Bear and she promised me that she would bring in a buyer at that price. Tina did not wait for our buyer to show up knocking on the door but, rather, she reached out to buyers in NYC, Boston and Hartford. Within the first week, qualified buyers appeared and while my home wasn’t a fit for everyone, every perspective buyer left impressed. When offers did come in, Tina advised me to be patient and hold my ground regarding price and terms until the stars lined up and the perfect buyers found their perfect home at my perfect price. Tina’s next job was to find my next perfect home. Tina listened well and only showed homes that fit my taste and my wallet advising me as we viewed a handful of close but no cigars until she found me my Cuban! It took a 33-minute showing before I was ready to write a check but Tina’s job wasn’t quite finished as she did her research and sharpened her pencil until she put together a sale that both the sellers and I could live with. Tina then did an absolutely painless job of coordinating all the inspections and financial matters and was even able to piggyback both my sale and my purchase an hour apart. I cannot possibly give a higher recommendation than the one that I give to Tina Rupp. Despite this novella-like length, I do not own enough words to accurately capture how satisfied and impressed I am with the manner in which Tina Rupp chooses to conduct her business and I can only urge those looking to sell or to buy to give Tina Rupp the opportunity to work her real estate magic for you. I promise that you will be as genuinely impressed with her prompt, professional and personable manner as I have been. Good luck and choose wisely. David Sdao Westbrook, Connecticut

Tina was amazing! She patiently showed us so many homes until we were ready to buy, and she smoothly negotiated our purchase with a very tight timeline. She knows the shoreline so well, and she had an excellent sense of what we were looking for. I highly recommend her!

Sarah Bernhardson

Tina was very helpful in our search for a home on the shoreline. She was very knowledgeable about the area and was very patient as she showed us many homes in different areas helping us finally decide exactly where we wanted to be and which style of home would meet our needs. Tina helped us find a home we love, when we weren't even sure what we were looking for! Tina is very easy to work with and we recommend her very highly.

Old Saybrook, CT

Tina is an outstanding Real Estate Agent. She's attentive and patient, listening to my needs and wishes while respecting my budget. I've purchased houses through other agents and Tina has the professional integrity that I respect in a trusted Realtor. Tina also has incredible vision and her experience with home remodeling was evident in her great ideas and suggestions that were both reasonable, clever and had my aesthetic in mind. Tina's kindness and professional manner is warm and sincere and reflected in her rapport with everyone we worked with throughout the process. She is well connected and has a variety of skillful people in the industry to call for every home need imaginable. As a single full time working mother of two, I had some pretty steep demands and Tina was forthright with an abundance of possibilities contributing to an exciting and rewarding home buying experience. I would highly recommend Tina Rupp to anyone looking to buy a home. She's the best!

Ivoryton, CT

Tina is a great realtor! If she didn't know the answer, she was quick to find it for us!! Super responsive and available. Tina spent many weekends and weeknights with us for showings until we found our home in Sept. 2015 in Essex! Highly recommend!!

Essex, CT

We were looking for a house on the Connecticut Shoreline and had the pleasure of meeting Tina Rupp at an open house in Old Saybrook. Tina was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area. Tina was easy to work with and understood what we were looking for in a home and community. We toured several homes before making a decision. She made the process of buying a home very easy. We highly recommend Tina Rupp to anyone purchasing or selling a home.

Carrie and Tom Clausi - Old Saybrook CT

Tina was a pleasure to work with. She had some creative ideas for staging . Her photography skills also added appeal to the house. I always heard from her within 48 hours after a showing letting me know how it went. She is confident and assertive and I always felt that she had my best interest at heart. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a realtor.

J.S. - Clinton, CT

My husband and I have been working with Tina for about the past 6 months. We were undecided about purchasing the first home we liked. Tina was always open, honest and fair, with no pressure. She would investigate any issues or concerns unfamiliar to her and inform us promptly. We eventually did purchase a different property and Tina navigated that with us as well. Since then Tina has assisted us in renting out an apartment we own. This literally took 1 week to complete. She was right on it! We will be using Tina for an upcoming property sale and any future needs we have. We highly recommend Tina Rupp for your reality needs.

Guilford, CT

The reason I chose Tina Rupp as a realtor for a relocation from Colorado to Connecticut was her involvement in the community, especially with schools. I definitely made the right choice as she helped me navigate the neighborhoods, schools, and shopping areas that informed my home purchasing decision. I initially had one day of travel to look for houses with the expectation that I would need to make future trips. With her well thought out house selections and planning, we were able to see 8 houses and I found the perfect house for my family on that day. Finding a great house is only half of the process. The purchasing was made so efficient with the crack team of Tina, the property lawyer, and the mortgage broker, that she helped me to assemble. Tina then went beyond the expectations of a realtor and was extremely helpful with setting up utilities, recommending local services, and even restaurant reviews. Above all, Tina has been kind, responsive, helpful, and trustworthy.

Westbrook

Tina was a pleasure to have as our real estate agent. She assisted us in finding the perfect investment home to renovate for rental purposes. She was very prompt in scheduling showings and never left any questions unanswered. I would highly recommend her if you want to receive the best service any agent can provide.

Niantic

Tina did an outstanding job for us! She understood exactly the type of home we were looking for and found it! When our offer became multiple offers and a bit of a bidding war ensued, Tina wrote a very heartfelt letter to the sellers on our behalf and we now have the home of our dreams. A big plus for us is that we now consider Tina a good friend!

Gayle Murphy Westbrook

Upon our first meeting, Tina was both professional and personable. She listened to our needs and provided advice when requested. We believe her past experience as a photographer accounts her keen eye for details that are important for both buyers and sellers. Most importantly, she followed up quickly on every step of the process and worked above and beyond our expectations. She made our life easy and we are grateful. My husband and I highly recommend her.

Christopher Christian

Working with Tina was fantastic. We met her at an open house in Old Saybrook and decided to work with her because she, much like us, is a young professional. She had a great knowledge of the Connecticut coastal towns and she was very helpful in sending us houses she thought would match our interests. She is also a superb communicator. We live on our phones and email and Tina always responded to our queries promptly. She was also great when she took us to showings and she would point out any flaws she knew would bother us. I 100% would work with Tina again and I highly recommend her to all future buyers.
