Testimonials
We were bogged down with an extremely difficult would- be buyer for at least three weeks. There were no strong back- ups and Barbara helped us stay calm as they continued to dig for problems to further lower price, and after they ditched at the eleventh hour of contract viability, she shared anger and frustration and then quickly persuaded us we had to try again. The next buyers were also difficult, but it turned out there were some serious problems with our 1802 house that we didn’t know about. Barbara worked very hard for a number of weeks to keep the deal alive, and viable. She had to not only help us figure out what to do, but due to code violations the Town of Guilford had somehow overlooked when we purchased the house in 2011, extensive time in Town Hall and with the lawyers was necessary. Without complaint, Barbara rolled up her sleeves and did everything we had neither expertise or energy to do. Right up to final days before Closing she was tying up loose ends, dotting every i. I had not seen this side of Barbara, but whenever I mentioned her name to people engaged in the process, I would hear, “ yup, Barbara gets the job done.” And again she did. I was sorry to see that she had agreed to split her cut with the other realtor as she deserved more. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Barbara, from beginning to end, but I do hope her next clients bring easier assignments than ours! I doubt I’d hear her say the same. During the few years we worked together, I heard enthusiasm, encouragement, knowledgeable advice, and kindness.
