In brief Geri is the GOAT. Without equivocation my experience in working with Geri was outstanding. She is professional, well informed, organized and straight forward. My first meeting with Geri was exploratory. I hadn’t determined exactly when I wanted to sell but wanted to know what the process was. She came prepared with a complete portfolio and market information. She completely understood my position and didn’t pressure me. When I decided that I was ready to sell we met and worked out a timeline. She brought her stager in and we decided what I needed to do to make my place ready to sell. She offered contacts of the contractors I would need to spruce it up. Again no pressure to use them but so convenient if I didn’t have someone. I did use them and they were great! As Home Sellers, we certainly were not Geri's easiest clients. Our home presented a number of problems, not the least of which was that it had only three bedrooms but was on a site with a phenomenal water view. The point of contention was how to present the spacious second floor family room with a fireplace. Geri saw it as a sitting/family room, but in this market we saw it as a dynamite home office with killer views (which is how we had used it). Geri was incredibly patient as she discussed how to present this room. She was willing to compromise its presentation. This is where her creativity and resourcefulness from years of experience came through. The back part of the room would have a couch, showing its potential as a family room. The front part by the Juliet balcony would show the room as a home office. Initially we resisted the idea of staging the house, but she showed us with photos how staging would enhance the selling potential of our house, as indeed it did. We received our first offer in 72 hours at the full asking price. Two days later, an offer for 6.6% over the asking price came in. What further complicated getting our house ready for sale was that we lived out of state. Again, Geri's years of experience and sense of humor facilitated the process. She went the "extra mile" to help us do whatever was necessary, like checking the lights, the thermostat, and running the water on all the floors twice a week, keeping our house running smoothly.
