My nickname for Meredith’s wonderful work is “One Stop Shopping”I was introduced to Meredith by a mutual friend, Whom Meredith helped find her home. When I toldMeredith I am looking for a home, she called me by asking questions to find out my style and what it is aneed and want in a home for me. After our initial conversation I was confident she was the right agentfor me. During our “interview process” I let her know due to my busy work scheduled that I preferredlooking at home during the weekends. Meredith had no issue with that and offer to go first to look at thehomes and send me videos to see if any of them have potentials. I thought that was very nice gesture.Our first weekend we went to see a house, we got to talk and know each other. Through ourconversation Meredith found out that the Loan officer I was working with was from out of State andsuggested that I talk to a local friend of hers who has been a Mortgage Loan officer for over 30 years andhave a better understanding of the towns and counties in CT. Since I was in the preliminary process, I sawno harm and I made the call. I can say my experience with the loan officer has been great and I evenrefer family members to him right away.The one of many great things about Meredith is the fact she took her time to find out as manyinformation as she could of the home and go over all the pros and cons. I’ve owned a home before notonce the agent that I went out with went over the disclosures and look at all the mechanicals in thehouse to find out the age etc..... it makes the decision easier for me of whether I want to purchase ahome with a roof that is 20 years old, or a furnace that is 10 years old. To Meredith it's all knowing upfront what you are putting yourself into and to me that is a plus not all agents out there really take theirtime to educate their clients.I can say I was lucky to find my home on the second weekend I went out with Meredith. Once we findthe right house Meredith referred me to a local closing attorney since I didn’t have one. Once my offerwas accepted Meredith’s job did not stop. She helped me look for inspectors to inspect the home. Dueto my work schedule, I couldn’t make it to the inspection, and I had no one to go for me. Meredithoffered and went to the inspection for me, this prove to me that is not an agent who is looking to make aquick commission but someone who cares about her clients and wants to make sure the process ofbuying a home is less stressful.The county I bought my home from was different from the county I lived in for may years. Meredith tookher time and search different oil companies for me to call, the utility company and cable companies,electrician etc.... During the process of the bank approving the mortgage, she checks on me all the timeto ensure I have all that I need. Once approved and the file went to the attorney for closing, Meredithcalled me to go over everything and ensures that I have movers’ line up, the appointment for oil, cable,utilities etc.... are already in place.Meredith expertise, kindness and patience made the experience of buying a home seamless. I’ve been inmy home for 3 weeks now and Meredith still checking on me to make sure all is well with my family andthe house. Meredith was truly wonderful. She called me the morning after I indicated interest in an apartment listed on one of the apartment listing sites, and talked to me for 20 minutes, asking what I liked or didn’t like about the apartment I was then living in, what I wanted in an apartment, what my range was for monthly rent, etcetera. Basically, she wanted to get a sense of me and what sorts of living environments would make me happy or definitely not happy. That evening she sent me a bunch of listings, all at or below my max, and then a last one which was a bit above the max rent I’d given her but she thought “checked most of the boxes” of the nearly ideal place for me based on our conversation that morning. We saw it the next day and it was, indeed, nearly perfect, at the top of what I could afford but do-able, an apartment I had thought there was zero chance of finding, and in which I am happily living now. Meredith really listens and takes a personal interest in you. She is a lovely person, and is determined to find whatever is out there that most closely meets your needs. I can’t imagine anyone better.
