We started looking at homes casually, trying to assess which towns aligned with our needs. We’ve lived in the city for over a decade. Randi was very sharp, without being pushy, and incredibly knowledgeable about the market. It was refreshing to speak with someone who wanted to build a relationship with us, and not just sell us a home. We met with Randi at her office roughly a week after speaking over the phone. She welcomed us - 2 small children and all - explained the process of buying a home, and really listened to what was important to us. She had several homes for us to look that day. We didn’t see anything that was a fit, and truthfully, we weren’t expecting to find our home in that first day. About a month later, Randi sent us a few homes that she suggested we see. There was a home that had a potential buyer - we really liked the pictures and the neighborhood. We went and saw all the homes - Randi was so welcoming with our kids which really helped. She suggested that if we liked the home with serious interest in it, that we put in an offer. We were concerned that the price was too high, it was too soon, and the general worry that sets in during house hunting. We got the house at a great price, and it was the easiest decision we ever made. There are a lot of brokers out there - some are great, and others are very transactional.
