A University of Connecticut graduate, Tyler earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Considering the nature of his degree, his intrinsic desire for collaborating with people, and his exposure to his parent’s profession, it was clear that Tyler would pursue a career as a Licensed Residential Real Estate Appraiser. Tyler later advanced to a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser where he earned the credentials to sponsor, train, and manage a large staff of licensed real estate appraisers.

As the previous Managing Partner of O'Hazo Appraisal Services, LLC., Tyler has more than 20 years’ of highly specialized experience in the valuation of a wide variety of property types in Litchfield and Fairfield Counties. Litchfield County is notable for its scenic appeal and vintage, colonial style dwellings. Attributable to its proximity to New York City, many homes within this incredibly unique area are utilized as secondary homes, many by renowned members of the entertainment industry, art community, entrepreneurs, dignitaries, and international business leaders.

With previous experience assisting clientele in appraisal projects designed for financial reporting, probate, tax assessment appeal, land donation, consulting, municipal data collection, and complex litigation, Tyler has expanded his real estate services to include the representation of buyers and sellers with a direct approach that is balanced with patience, integrity and enthusiasm. Earning recognition as a member of the appraisal roster for the Federal Housing Authority as well as the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Tyler is also honored to assist members of the Armed Forces through his role as designated appraiser for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Tyler was excellent to work with.

Matthew Gereg

Tyler was great. I was doing most of my research to purchase the home from across the country. Tyler looked at homes for me in my absence and really listened to my needs for my new home!

Beth Dubin

Tyler is an exceptional agent and person who considers my needs and finds a way to make them work with the deal. He is creative and innovative and in this mark he is a asset to any deal. Thank you very much Tyler for finding my family a home.

Tyler O'Hazo found us our dream house, and he also sold it. Both transactions smoother than we would have ever expected. We thank William Pitt/Julia B. Fee Sotheby's for your service. Best, Tenzin

Tyler did a masterful job negotiating the sale of my property!

George & Jamie Kingsley

During the selling process Tyler Ohazo maintained a comfortable yet exciting level of experience. His expertise and ability to understand realestate and mortgages gave me a sense of comfort and confidence in the process. Thank you Tyler for going above and beyond to create this positive and successful sale. Looking forward to working with you again.

Tyler O'haso was outstanding. He addressed every issue we asked about. He was very detailed and efficient. I will recommend him to everyone I know who is planning to buy or sell a home.

Vincent & Rachel D'Andrea

We had nothing but the best experience with Tyler. He communicated clearly to us though the entire process. Even taking time to clarify the different modes of communication and the times of day they were each appropriate to use. He was always one step ahead of me and was able to get the answers to all my questions, that is when he didn't already have them.

Mark & Mackenzie Kusch

Tyler O'Hazo was the most amazing realtor. I can not recommend him highly enough- we went above and beyond! Tyler was patient, thoughtful, and beyond helpful. He went out of his way on several occasions and made the paper work process so easy. I will recommend Tyler to everyone I know.

Katie Miller

My husband and I bought our first house from Tyler and we couldn’t have been happier with the process and outcome. Purchasing a home can be very stressful and daunting, but Tyler’s determination and care he has for his clients is uncanny. He is there for you every step of the way and always available to answer any questions you may have. Tyler’s vast knowledge of Northwestern Connecticut is unparalleled, especially since he is a certified Real Estate Appraiser with 20+ years of experience in the field. If you are looking for a realtor who truly cares about putting you in the right house for you and not just one that will sell you a house, Tyler is the person you should contact. We wouldn’t consider hiring anyone else for buying or selling a home in Connecticut.

Kerry (Washington, CT)

Tyler truly went above and beyond in making sure that he understood my needs. He provided valuable insight on the area and good advice relative to the different property choices. From start to finish, an excellent experience. I would highly recommend Tyler.

D. Derwin

Tyler helped my husband and I find and buy our (first) dream home. His market knowledge and expertise, 20 years experience as a Certified Appraiser and client-first philosophy helped guide us through a process that can be somewhat challenging and stressful at times. His negotiation skills landed us exactly where we wanted to be. He was always accessible, and he put our needs first. What a pleasure it was to work with someone who is wise, easy going, assertive and friendly. He truly made buying a home fun! If we ever find ourselves in a position to sell and buy another home, he will be our first call. If you're looking for a home in the Northwest Hills Tyler is the one and only realtor you'll need.

Jess

I recently purchased my first home. Tyler was very patient with me and explained the process and everything that goes along with purchasing a home very clearly and was always a quick phone call away. I would with no doubt, highly recommend using Tyler as your realtor.
