When Paul Breunich, the CEO of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty asked Alex to break into a new market for the firm by opening and leading an office in Hartford County, he did so recognizing the depth of experience and skill Alex had gained from a two-decade long career driven by client focused business development, initially on Wall Street, but more recently through a successful real estate business in the diverse and highly competitive market of Westchester County, New York.
After almost 10 years on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange with Citigroup, Alex was promoted to a Sales Trader executing highly sensitive equity transactions for Fortune 500 companies. He then transitioned to Morgan Stanley’s Investment Services Group where he developed trusted relationships with “C-Suite” executives and other senior level management, effectively driving new business.
In 2013, Alex made an industry leap to pursue a long-held passion for real estate and joined the Larchmont, NY office of Houlihan Lawrence. He quickly became a Houlihan Lawrence Gold Award winner 2 years in a row and was instrumental in making the Larchmont branch the #1 sales office in Westchester County in 2016.
The opportunity to lead William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Hartford County office presented itself in early 2018, which despite having lived in Larchmont for 10 years, was a natural fit for Alex. His wife Cristin grew up in West Hartford and graduated from Conard High School. Over the 18 years they’ve been married, the couple, along with their children, Wes and Sadie, took very frequent trips to the Hartford County area and eventually, they were determined to move to this community which they learned to know and love.
Alex’s success in the competitive worlds of both Wall Street and real estate are a testament to not only his passion for the business but his genuine care and unwavering commitment to his clients, who appreciate his integrity, enthusiasm and professionalism, along with his attention to detail and tireless work ethic.
Whether he’s enjoying a round of golf, seeing a concert or taking a few runs at one of New England’s beautiful ski resorts, Alex is energized, engaged and enjoying life, but never far from his business and dedication to his work.
