William Pitt-Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty Sees 23 Agents and One Team Named Best in Connecticut and New York by REAL Trends

Stamford, Conn. (July 11, 2019) – William Pitt-Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that 23 agents and one team were ranked in the 2019 REAL Trends list of “America’s Best” real estate professionals. REAL Trends, one of the most trusted sources of news, analysis and information in residential real estate, partnered with real estate training company Tom Ferry International to release this year’s ranking of top performing agents in each state.

The list’s four categories include individuals by transaction sides, individual by sales volume, teams by transaction sides and teams by sales volume. To qualify, agents had to close at least 50 transaction sides or $20 million in sales volume, and teams had to close at least 75 transaction sides or $30 million in volume. The ranking is based on performance in 2018. According to REAL Trends, agents named to the list represent less than 1.5 percent of all Realtors® in the nation.

In the individuals by volume category, 10 agents in New York and 9 in Connecticut were honored. The New York agents included Laura DeVita, Julia Bieber, Ellen Stern, Wendy Alper, Louis Katsoris, Jennifer Holmes and Alix Prince of Rye; Mimi Magarelli of Larchmont; Agnes Holzberg of Scarsdale; and Holly Mellstrom of Bronxville. The Connecticut agents included Ed Villeda of Stamford, Laura Freed Ancona of Ridgefield, Cyd Hamer of Westport, Lorraine Amaral of Northern Fairfield, Margaret Muir of Madison, Bruce Baker of Darien, Ira Goldspiel of Kent, Rick Weiner of Essex, and Jules Gaughran-Etes of Guilford.

In the teams by volume category for Connecticut, the Sneddon Team of New Canaan ranked.

In the individual transaction sides category, three agents from Connecticut and one from New York were recognized. The Connecticut agents included Ed Villeda of Stamford, Northern Fairfield agent Lorraine Amaral, and Guilford agent Jules Gaughran-Etes. In New York, Agnes Holzberg of Scarsdale was recognized.

“Congratulations to all of our agents for this truly remarkable accomplishment,” said Paul Breunich, President and CEO of William Pitt-Julia B.
