Our home search spanned 15 months in the northwest CT corner, as well as the southern Berkshires around Great Barrington. We'd been living in the same home for 34 years, so our decision to move closer to our son was a major change. From the start, our agent Donna Membrino was attentive to the complexities of our situation (especially since we had a lengthy trip involved whenever there was a home we wanted to check out). We quickly discovered that she was an invaluable source of guidance with every home under consideration. She could be counted on for an honest opinion and that went a long way to building trust. Right through the process, she was easy to reach, whether it was phone, text or email, and had a surplus of patience with our many questions and with our evolving goals (which had to be frustrating for her). As the months went by, we looked forward to our conversations. In addition to the experience that comes with thirty years in the business, she is good-natured, honest and supportive. And she has a good sense of humor as well. When we finally had an accepted offer she was there to put us at ease, set up a plan for home inspection and help us find a lawyer. It was like having a calm friend available right up to the move-in. We can't find enough stars for Donna. We love our new home, and will always be grateful for all her help.

This is the 6th house that I have purchased. In the past, I made an offer, we closed the deal in a few weeks and I was handed the keys. Not this time! To my surprise, Donna stayed with us during the purchase process and made sure that we hired quality people to evaluate the condition of the house, the well, the septic, the roof etc.. We discovered the well pump was malfunctioning and it need to be replaced. If she had not made this happen, we would have been liable for a $10k repair. She insisted we had up to date fire alarms throughout the house (some needed to be replaced). Donna is very courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about her job.
